also, doesn't make much sense for a 2016 model to be released in the middle of the calendar year. Even if it were a 2016 1/2, it might still be released in the spring of that year at the very latest. Releasing it in the summer means it may as well be a 2017 model.
I'm betting the salesman meant summer of '15, with orders being taken this December. If not, he was talking out of his ass.

Yeah. That was my thinking as well. I also suspect he was trying to sell me on a 25th Anniversay NC with a PRHT, since he brought that up right after. Sort of the "well you could wait two full years (OH NO!) for the 2016 Miata, or you could order a 2015 25th Anniversary edition TODAY!

Why the hell would I buy that? I had already told him I used to own an NC with a PRHT. It would make no sense for me to buy that with something like the ND coming out.
