I wouldn't be surprised if they both get dumped. Cool little car, but way too expensive. It was only like a grand cheaper than the WRX. They need to be closer to 20k than 25k to make it worth it.

The car is so light that 200hp is plenty of grunt. Adding to the fact that they handle superbly, they can easily match any SpoCom around a track, and perhaps even surpass it. Seeing as it's not a shuddering pile of loosely held together junk, the company that makes them is hardly bleeding money, and you're not likely to catch a Toyota exec in a crack sting, your comparison to the Delorean is as ridiculous as saying a WRX is nothing more than a riced-out rental car.
