EVO VI or EVO IX

These are generally considered the best of the best, with the X losing the sparkle through too much extra weight (and probably contemporary rivals outclassing it).

Which would you take? The VI has genuine competition credentials, but a shitty interior (apart from the Recaros and Momo).

The IX has the more modern interior and magazines said it was one of the most involving drivers' cars for any money, but more weight and slightly boring styling.

Having never driven either one, purely on a styling standpoint, I prefer the VI but the IX is great too. I always liked the way the VI looked.

IX, since it was actually available here.

But I do like the styling of 4-6 quite a bit.

Personally, having never driven any Evo, I can't really make a fair assessment. As far as old-school Evos are concerned, I always liked the IV best, but that was based purely on styling. I've always heard the VIs and VI TMEs were the superior models of that generation. And yeah, they might have a shitty interior, but it was the 90's; I don't know if they were shitty even for the 90's, but I digress. I would have to go with the newer model though because firstly they're more accessible, and everything I've heard about them kind of puts them up in the stratosphere as one of the best drivers' cars I've ever heard of. I really don't dislike the X though. I think they were great for what they were.

IX for me. It seems like 95% of the fun, but with all the advantages of a newer car - reliability, practicality, etc. etc.

IX

Not that I've ever drive a VI... or a IX for that matter, but the IX is like the VIII with variable valve timing, which really helped the power curves, especially after a tune.

I'm kind of biased, but I think I would go with the IX. Though a VI with a IX engine would be tits
