Really? While I haven't been here for a while, I can see that you are full of yourself.

CVN-81 will most likely be named after one of the 19 Presidents that haven't had Naval ships named after them. Donald Trump will probably be at the bottom of the barrel, IF it gets built.

Plus since you are so sure that he will have an 8-year term, CVN-81 isn't proposed to be finished until 2023 and he will still be in office, so his name won't end up on it.

Buddy, I was just tossing it around as a number to use as it follows what will be the next CVN-80 Enterprise. Jeesh! :) I don't care what CVN it may be. The idea of a future CVN being named Donald J. Trump hi-lights my point that I feel the USA and the rest of the world will be impressed with President Donald J. Trump. He will likely prove to be a transformative President.

I will say this the current President will likely never get a CVN named after him. President Obama who made awful decisions, divided a nation badly and much worse than the idiot he followed, George W. Bush. A man who set back race relations in the USA by 50 years and spent the last year or so of his sad 8 years by basically doing fuck all, deserves only being tossed out to the sidewalk on Jan. 20 2017.

President Donal J. Trump will be a mover and a shaker as POTUS. 8-)

If that's what you really think, than you are more delusional than I thought. Obama wasn't perfect, but he wasn't worse than Bush in any respect and to say that really shows that you know not what you speak of. No wonder these guys here are sick of your bullshit political rhetoric. You don't even live in the US, so you're the last person who I would even consider having a rational political discussion with, let alone the condition of "Race Relations". The way you talk about Trump makes it sound like he whispers sweet nothings in your ear while you give handies in a janitor closet. You sound no worse than the ignorant hillrods that live down here.

We'll see how he does as POTUS, but it's not going to be as awesome as you think it's going to be. Hopefully he has gotten his head out of his ass and fully understands what he was voted to do and doesn't spend his presidency trying to sue everyone who's said bad things about him and doesn't royally fuck up our relations with our allies with his cocky attitude.

Les, what happened to you? Now you're a psychotic alt-right conspiracy theorist who foams at the mouth and wishes horrible deaths to people on the regular. How long before you start posting those nasty frog memes you guys post?

I am still legit puzzled as of why you thought you'd find an audience here, of all places. We're one of the most inclusive communities around, we only had 1 true bigot and he left. We're fairly well educated, tolerant and we got a Raska* too. We all know Raskas are like friendship fountains, so piss off

But I've never been ashamed of my country. I've never been ashamed to be an American.

Until today.

I mean what I said. It is worse.

Although this isn't politically correct, there's a kind of sacred mythology built up around 9/11. About 3,000 people died. That's obviously bad, but as horrible as this might sound, worse things have happened. In terms of strict utilitarian "bad," the greatest harm to the greatest number of people, many things have been worse, and many things in the future will be worse. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were probably worse overall.

Trump, with a Republican Congress and multiple Supreme Court picks, is potentially the end of American democracy and freedom. It's hard to overstate the potential harm. Consider what he's already done. He's put a white-supremacist publisher in the White House, together with the Republican Party chairman. He's threatened political opponents with prosecution. He's refused to even acknowledge his many conflicts of interest involving his businesses, and he's already reportedly wielded political power for personal profit (in the phone call with the Argentine prime minister regarding a business project).

If you think there's no way a Trump presidency could be worse than 3,000 people dying, you've got another think coming...

Oh Gawd please help us. It was HRC that you should have feared the break down of US style democracy. She was the one looking for war with Russia, she was the one who wants OPEN BORDERS! She wants to expand and keep flooding the USA with people, mostly unvetted of a religion (I say a cult) that has never in 1400 years and does not assimilate. Trump probably will do more to save the US style of democracy. And G. DAMMIT! there is no White Supremacist publisher or any other person of such in Trump's soon to be W.H. nor is there any established White Supremacy in the USA. FOR FUCK SAKES STOP BUYING INTO THE 100% BULLSHIT OF THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA!!! Polls show only 6% of Americans trust it anymore so you should not either.

You save this post, mark my words after 8 years Trump will be seen as one of the best Presidents in US history. Jesus Christ he is and will not be, he will make mistakes, he will have to horse trade and compromise but he will be on the right side of history.

I stated facts about what Donald Trump has already done with his powers as President-Elect. You are just stating your opinions about Clinton. Opinions are not an appropriate counterargument to factual evidence. If you have any evidence about things Clinton has done that you feel threatened America (or Canada), I'm all ears. Please keep in mind that evidence means facts or information relating to the truth of a particular claim.

There is absolutely a white supremacist in the White House. His name is Steve Bannon. He was the chairman of Breitbart. Have you ever read Breitbart? I have. It is absolutely a racist, white-supremacist publication. Bannon's views and associations related to white nationalism are well-enough known to appear on Wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Bannon

This is just one quick example.

As another example, he campaigned on a platform of being "anti-establishment," then named (together with white nationalist publisher Bannon) Reince Preibus, RNC chairman, as one of the two heads of his team. Making the RNC chairman the head of your team is in no way anti-establishment.

As still another example, he's appointed Ben Carson, who has no experience whatsoever with public housing, government, or administration, as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

These are dangerous choices. At the very least, it's evidence that his "drain the swamp" rhetoric is insincere.

He's playing you (and your fellow supporters) for rubes, and the hell of it is that you're so damn convinced that you're right and everyone else is wrong that you're actually happy to go along with it. You're seriously citing studies showing that Americans distrust the media as evidence that Trump is going to be a good president? LOL. Talk about grasping at straws.

Let me know how this all works out for you in a few years.

All people have interests in the President of the USA as it is still the most influential political office on Earth. Canadians (BTW you are one too Wally, why let your delusions piss on that?) have an interest in POTUS and US Politics as we are economically, physically, by numerous treaties politically/diplomatically, and in many ways socially joined at the hip to the USA. So as President Trump continues to win and change in many ways the world by continuing to Make America Great Again well means most often by extension Canada and Canadians will benefit from it as we are tied into the U.S. infrastructure, it's best friend and the most peaceful partner to the USA.

But up front people like me outside the USA who see clearly what President Trump stands for and why he stands for such along with many of the silent majority, honest, hard working Americans who also see the same in Trump will for now enjoy sipping the collected tears of liberals, leftists and flaming socialists for their messed up POV's, their hate for the USA and their rabid racism, bigotry and in general just hateful souls that lie inside their bodies. Cheers :D

And this is the problem. The rubes don't care whether it's good policy or not. They just want to stick it to the libruls. As FARK would say, STIGGINT!

Massive corruption? Policy blunders? Rich getting richer while "real Amurricans" languish in a hopeless economy? Disrespecting the founding documents conservatives claim to love so much? No problem. Trump got elected so libruls are cryin! MAGA! STIGGINT!

It also says a lot, Les, that you completely ignored the points I made and chose to go off on a tangent about Canada being dependent on America and libruls crying. You can't even respond to a basic argument. You're completely incapable of having a meaningful discussion. No wonder you like Trump.

Americans languishing, Um you have had a liberal err, socialist Democrat President for 8 years. Democrats have held POTUS 16 of the last 24 years. Liberal (globalist) policies are what has put many at risk and why the silent majority PUSHED BACK and is/will push back globally.

Your socialist President is fine with bringing a George Soros, global shit disturber funded domestic terror group BLM to the W.H. as he praises them but they are no better and are more or less a flip side to the KKK and no modern President would invite the KKK to the W.H. BUT! FYI, Hillary Clinton was a fan and a champion of the late Robert Bird who was a KKK Grand Master. She spoke highly of him at his funeral. Don't forget the KKK was product of the Democratic Party.

What disrespecting of founding documents you say these conservatives have done? Your man Obama has signed more executive orders than any other President in History. H.R.C. was the one looking at trashing the Constitution.

I only see crybully liberals illegally and violently protesting the election they lost.

As to any other points you and others may have made, Um I get sick of you all being assholes, wrapping up your immature insults with your rhetoric so I just at times BLOW YOU ALL OFF! I choose when and where I may reply here, you and any others do not tell me when to do so, ok?

Jan. 20 2017 will see Donald J. Trump inaugurated as President of the USA. Fucking why cant you liberals and socialist crybullies accept that?

Once he is POTUS then by all means hold him, his decisions and policies along with his Cabinet members decisions to account. I certainly would not ask any of you to bend knee and kiss his ass. I will observe his Presidency as most others world wide will and will hold him to account to my views pro or con. I just believe he will in the end after 8 years be one of the best Presidents in US history. Yes, he will make mistakes, yes he will not always get his way. His Presidency will be held under the highest lamestream media scrutiny and much more than likely any past President. Let alone 8 years of MSM butt kissing to Obama who will have a tarnished history as his Presidency was generally rudderless and had a lack of critical focus most of the time. He got his butt kissing props for being black and not for any credible policy.

What bums me out is all the riots and protests against trump. He was voted in. Democratically. And he hasn't done anything wrong... Yet...

I don't like the guy, I don't like the lady, but I wish him all the best. And hey, even as a president, he's got heaps of people around him, stopping him from doing the stupidest things. I'm sure it'll all work out fine.

Bummed out Democrats, stupid SJW's and other liberals/socialists only care about violence and protests if these are done against them. When they are themselves doing so it's all ok. Now of course they have the right to peaceably protest, nobody who believes in Constitutional rights will want to stop them from doing so, if they are keeping the peace. That said other than blowing off some steam and such, nothing will come from their protests.

Bummed out "alt-right", white hoods and world war 2 german-wannabes only care about violence and protests if these are done against them too. What is your point here?
