That's awful to hear. It sounds like, at least temporarily, she's in much better comfort and something even more serious was discovered before it got worse. But that's gotta be a rough thing for everyone to go through.

My best friend and mountain biking buddy wrecked himself at the end of our Moab trip last weekend. Now he most likely needs shoulder surgery. So my gripe is that I've lost my #1 riding partner for a while.
But Moab ruled up until that point.

Sand actually. We were on the slickrock trail, but it crosses a few sandy washes. This one was about a 2 to 3 foot drop off the rock into the wash and he aired it and went over hard when he hit the sand.
