Mountain Biking - Ry, Miller, others?

Yeah, I'm in Farmington right now. There are quite a few places nearby, just not sure if the terrain is going to be amusing enough. But not worrying about copperheaded rattling water moccasins is a bit of a relief as far as trails go.

I did have to dodge many garter snakes today while attempting to mountain bike.

I've had to bunny hop over rattlesnakes a few times here. Adds excitement to the ride!

Copperheads always blended in too much, you could run one over with even realizing it.

I like how I am in the top 15% on strava when I ride road, bottom 15 when mountain biking. I guess i am more comfortable dodging cars, trees are scary.

Just got back from a 50 km road bike training run. Have to admit I still enjoy it - out in the country, not many cars on a Sunday morning. Pretty nice way to spend some time.

Awesome ride today! Rode the 'big loop' at Buffalo Creek today. A great ride. Started under clouds, light rain, then a thunderstorm rolled in and I was glad to be in forest, not one of the open burned areas, then finished in the sun.

Sounds like fun. I saw no wildlife today, except a great blue heron. But I started my ride early so I was on the lookout for bears and lions.

Today was a Yeti demo day at Palmer Park, my local trails. Rode ASRc, SB5c, and SB6c. All carbon, all awesome.

ASRc is an XC bike that rode like a short travel trail bike. I could ride it really agressively. Would be killer with more aggressive tires and a dropper seat post.

SB5c is a great all arounder. Super plush, feels like more than 5" of travel. Their pro enduro riders use this on the less gnarly courses.

SB6c felt like a lightweight downhill bike that could climb. Holy shit, best bike I've ever ridden. I rode sections with no hesitation that I often walk. Too bad it starts at 6 grand.

I also noticed my first scratches (and a couple dents on the suspension fork) on my offroad bike. Guess it was inevitable... but still. Sucks.

Dents in your fork! I've scratched them (got the first scratch on the fork on my yeti a couple weeks back) but never dented a fork.
