There was an 10-car pileup on the freeway close to where I live. I checked out the news and saw this:

Is that a fucking Cord? :( :( :(

Might be one of those fugly kit cars...aren't real Cords worth a shit ton of money? I guess it's possible but seems unlikely it's real.

It is a kit car. Modern profile and sized tires give it away. Still cool though.

Auburn speedster? Oh man forgot about them. Gorgeous. I want a GTA style game with all these old classics in it.

Most likely a Cord replicar. Nobody would be out driving a real 810/812, those are show cars.

I want a TDU-style game with all those classics in it.
Set in the 20's.

Yeah, that would be awesome. It's a shame they apparently aren't making any more TDUs, I really liked those games.

Honestly, most cars before 1950 just don't really appeal to me all that much. But I loooove those Cords, Auburns, and Duesenbergs. As a company, they did better than most anyone else at making truly stylish cars in an era where most cars still didn't look that much different from the first horseless carriages.

honestly, I never used to like prewar cars either, because I thought they all looked the same and had no style. The Auburn Speedster and the Bugatti Atlantique helped change my mind when I was a younger man, and I've kind of gained an appreciation for all of them.

Na, don't do anything for me. I can respect they're the great grandfathers of today's cars and all, but they're just so m'eh to me.

That's part of why I like them. The simplicity. 4 wheels and an engine, more or less.
