Some of them have less than 4 wheels and an engine?

Huh - I had a snarky response prepared because I thought that those were newer than they were. A creature of the 50s and 60s. Outside the scope of Honor's claim.

But I was wrong. Can't believe that Morgan's been making three wheeled cars since 1911:

I think the one Talon posted, with the front-mounted engine, was from the 30s or so. I've seen younger ones from post WW2 with engines behind the grille.

Edit--actually, it's even younger: that's one of the heritage models they produced in 2011. The engine is newer. This is a '37:

They seem like they would tip over easy.

Never have I laughed so hard watching TopGear than I did during that segment.

They are calling that thing a motorcycle. Why? It has a steering wheel and a cockpit. It's a 3-wheeled car.

Because there's about a brazillian fewer regs to deal with to call it a motorcyle.

In Britain, less than three wheels makes it a motorcycle, because like ryguy said, less regs. I wanna say some four-wheeled cars like the Ariel Atom and BAC Mono are classified as motorcycles too, but I'm honestly not sure.

I recall from Top Gear's constant attacks (including the literal RC car-bomb attack) that the G-Whiz was considered a quad cycle to get around regs.
